Hi there folks. We just heard the news that the Kish Creek tournament is no more. We are saddened that such a great tournament was forced to call it a day as our guys always enjoyed that weekend.
With that in mind, we wanted to give everyone a heads up that the KITTANNING TROUT DERBY IS PLANNING TO MOVE TO THE THIRD WEEK OF MAY, NEXT YEAR, 2027.
By changing the dates from our usual mid-April dates, it will afford us better weather, along with avoiding two other area tournaments and allow us to avoid the derby falling on Easter weekend every few years.
IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS YEAR'S (2026) DERBY WILL STILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, APRIL 18TH AND 19TH, 2026 WITH REGISTRATION ON FRIDAY, APRIL 17TH.
We look forward to seeing everyone this year and wanted everyone to know about the planned change for next year, so that everyone knows what's going on.
